What You’ll Need

  • A medium-sized mixing bowl and whisk is what you’ll use to prepare the egg mixture for your French toast.
  • We recommend a well-greased skillet or frying pan for cooking your French toast slices.

Storage Information

Store any leftovers in an airtight container within two hours of cooking it. We recommend not putting on toppings until you’re ready to eat. It can be refrigerated like this for 3-4 days. When reheating, simply toast in a toaster or warm in a skillet until thoroughly heated. Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Tips for Making Carrot Cake French Toast

  • Make sure to slice your cake roll into 1/2” thick slices. Thinner slices won’t give you that same French toast consistency that thicker ones will.
  • Ensure you have your burner set on medium heat. Setting it too high will burn the outside of the cake roll slice before the inside can finish cooking. Setting it too low will result in the entire slice being too soft and chewy. You want a crisp outside with a custard-like inside.
