What You’ll Need
- Square napkins, preferably cloth or paper
- Twine or ribbon
- Hard-boiled eggs
- Marker
Instructions
Step 1
Lay the napkin out, so it looks like a diamond. If you’re using a cloth napkin, iron it first to ensure crisp folds. This will help the bunny ears lay properly. Then, fold the bottom point of the napkin up to meet the top point, forming a triangle.
Step 2
Starting from the top point of the triangle, roll the napkin downwards tightly.
Continue rolling until your napkin resembles a rope. If you’re using a striped napkin, this will create a fun, textured look for the ears!
Step 3
Fold the rolled-up napkin in half so both ends are pointing up like bunny ears. Make sure both sides are even.
Step 4
Place a hard-boiled egg at the bottom of the “U” shape formed by the napkin. This will act as the bunny’s face.
Step 5
Using twine or ribbon, tie the napkin ends together just above the top of the egg to secure the shape. Adjust the ears if needed to make them symmetrical.
Step 6
Finish your bunnies off by drawing some cute faces on the eggs before placing them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Store them like this until you’re ready to place them on your Easter table.
