Love is in the air as February 14 draws near, so we thought we’d help you create a special treat to celebrate the occasion! A charcuterie board, featuring Dutch Apron® Bakery cake rolls, will have your valentine feeling like they’re in a fancy restaurant even at your kitchen table. From melt-in-your-mouth chocolates to decadent cake roll slices, they’re sure to fall head over heels in love with each indulgent bite.
How to Make the Perfect Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Board
Ingredients:
- 1 Strawberry Cheesecake Dutch Apron Bakery Cake Roll
- 1 Red Velvet Dutch Apron Bakery Cake Roll
- 4 varieties of cookies
- 3 varieties of candy
- Chocolate-covered pretzels
- Fudge
- Caramels
- Salted almonds
Instructions:
- Get a large serving platter and place a small bowl in the center. This will give your board texture and height.
- Fill the bowl with salted almonds.
- Cut each cake roll into 8 slices.
- Take four slices of the Strawberry Cheesecake Cake Roll and place them in a row going from the center of the platter to the top. Duplicate this row with the Red Velvet Cake Roll slices going from the center to the right of the platter.
- Repeat this process for the last four slices of Strawberry Cheesecake, going from the center to the bottom, and the last four slices of Red Velvet, going from the center to the left.
- Now, fill in the remaining space on the platter! Between two rows of cake slices, put 2 types of cookies, caramel pieces, and 1 type of candy.
- In another section, put 1 type of cookie and 1 type of candy.
- In the 3rd section, place your last type of candy with the fudge.
- For the final section, use your last type of cookie and your chocolate-covered pretzels.
- Finally, fill in any holes with the remaining candies or cookies.
