Ingredients
- 1 Dutch Apron® Bakery Carrot Cake Cake Roll
- Orange sugar sprinkles
- Edible gold paint
- Buttercream frosting
- 2 c. unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. salt
- 7 c. powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 tbsp. heavy cream
- Orange and yellow gel food coloring
Instructions
Make the Buttercream Frosting
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter until smooth and creamy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract and salt until fully incorporated.
- Gradually, add the powdered sugar one cup at a time. Beat well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
- Pour in the heavy cream and continue beating until the frosting is light and fluffy.
Color the Buttercream
- Separate the buttercream into three bowls.
- Add orange food coloring to one bowl and yellow to another. Leave the last one white. Stir well to ensure even coloring.
- Place each color of buttercream in its own piping bag for easy application.
Assemble the Cake
