Strawberry Cheesecake Salad

Truth time: I’m a sucker for anything that tastes like cheesecake. But when you throw fresh strawberries into the mix and call it a salad? I’m absolutely on board. This Strawberry Cheesecake Salad has quickly become one of my favorite make-and-take desserts for picnics, potlucks, and the “can you whip something up for us pretty please?” requests from my kids’ schools. It’s creamy, fruity, and just indulgent enough to feel like a treat without being too heavy.

Plus, it uses chunks of Dutch Apron® Bakery’s Strawberry Cheesecake Cake Roll which all three of the kids love. And, with three kids, finding a dessert that everyone agrees on is nothing short of a miracle. One loves chocolate, one doesn’t like it when foods touch, and one is so picky I’m still not entirely convinced he actually likes food. But the Strawberry Cheesecake Cake Roll? They all go crazy for it which is why I try to incorporate it into as many of my dessert recipes as possible…like this Strawberry Cheesecake Salad.

With whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and those cake chunks tying everything together…well, I’ve served it more times than I can count, and there are never any leftovers. If you need a no-fuss dessert that makes people ask for seconds, this one’s for you!

What You’ll Need

  • Stand mixer with paddle attachment: to combine the ingredients for your salad. Alternatively, you can use a large bowl and hand mixer.
  • Serving bowl: to use when presenting and serving your completed Strawberry Cheesecake Salad.

Storage Information

You can prepare your Strawberry Cheesecake Salad up to one day in advance. Simply cover the bowl with cling wrap and place it in the refrigerator. We recommend waiting to sprinkle in the graham cracker crumbs and remaining strawberries until it is ready to be served.

Tips for Making a Strawberry Cheesecake Salad

  • Wait until the cream cheese is fully whipped before adding the whipped topping. This ensures you get the lightest, fluffiest texture possible.
  • Chill your finished salad for 1-2 hours before serving. This really allows all the different flavors to pop when you go to take that first bite.
